Google +1- What’s New?
Searching has now gone Social! Yes that is absolutely correct, Google has recently made many changes to its family of products and the ‘+1’ tab has been their latest release. The main purpose of the people over at Google is to give people better searches. To help with this they have also recently updated the Panda algorithm, to know more about what the panda algorithm is and what it does you can read the blog which was posted earlier. Both the new panda algorithm and +1 will give individuals a chance to search neater and better.
Let us now focus on what the +1 feature actually is, and how it will help you in your future searches. As mentioned above the feature has taken Google to new grounds. With this characteristic embedded in Google you will be able to see who among your friends or the web has liked a certain site which shows up in your search. What this means is that if you are searching for the keyword ‘android applications’, a number of searches will come up, but among those searches http://www.saqibimran.com/android-app-developers.php would have been ‘recommended’ by your friends, and because of this recommendation you would know that this site was previously visited by your friends and because they like the information that it provides, they have +1ed it. The +1 element is great, but there is a slight catch- you have to have a Gmail account in order to use the feature. This is an also a brilliant way for Google to further increase the already flowing number of Gmail users. Once you have a Gmail account all you need to do is search and start recommending. Google has made life so much easier for us in the past and now it is going one step forward and giving us more convenience. The +1 button means that you can see if you mother or sister has liked a certain brownie recipe or if your father likes a certain site on automobile mechanics. As time goes by we will be able to screen out the good for nothing sites which have no +1’s and the awesome ones who have been liked by people all around. The very good thing about this feature is that you will know that the recommendations you are getting are by the people who know you most and whose word you trust.
The +1 element of Google will show the recommendation of any and everybody who has previously visited the same page as you. It will help make things much more personalized. The possibilities with +1 are vast, and the folks out there haven’t even started on it yet. Time will show us all that Google means serious business in terms of Searching. The Google tab is not yet included on separate sites but Google is also planning to implement this in the future. If this will happen, the user who wants to recommend a page he likes will not have to go to the trouble of going to the Google search page, instead he will be able to +1 the site right from where he is. The good news for advertisers is that this feature is not limited to sites, it will also show a +1ed button on the ads section in Google. Thumbs up to Google for thinking of everybody in the game! The +1 tab is great for corporations worldwide, as it means that if your site is recommended by certain individuals then they will have much better traffic in the future. Let us wait and see what the future holds for +1, and what more tricks Google has for its users.
