Another fantastic year is coming to a close, and we are super excited to ring in the new year with much better customer service, technical support and products for 2012. Wishing you a happy holiday and a New Year filled with health, happiness and success.
Today I invested couple of hours on G+ finding how I can search user profiles and posts on G+. Unfortunately there is no search functionality provided by the Search Engine Company “Google”. Just like on Facebook and Twitter, I am able to search anything whether it be a weekend party, event details, or social media information. Everything is available using their own search tools.
How to search G+ Profile and posts
Using Google Chrome, it is easy to find G+ posts and user profiles. It takes only few minutes to configure G+ profile and post search option in Google Chrome. Follow the instructions below:
- Right click in your Google Chrome address bar
- Click Edit Search Engines
- OR type chrome://settings/searchEngines and hit Enter key
- Under other search engines tab, there are 3 (three) columns (boxes).
The Trick
To configure G+ profile finder, do the following:
- In column 1, enter text G+ Profiles
- In column 2, enter text gprofile
- In column 3, enter text {google:baseURL}search?q=%s&tbs=prfl:e
To configure G+ posts finder, do the following:
- In column 1, enter text G+ Posts
- In column 2, enter text gpost
- In column 3, enter text {google:baseURL}search?q=site:plus.google.com inurl:posts/* %s
How to use G+ profile and G+ post finder in Google Chrome
- To find G+ posts, enter gpost then press TAB key and your search term.
- To find G+ profile(s), enter gprofile then press TAB key and user name
That’s it

Google+ has grabbed as many as 18 million users just three weeks after launch and still counting.
Stats compiled by Ancestry.com co-founder and Google+ unofficial statistician Paul Allen show that Google’s new social network may have hit the 18 million mark by the end of yesterday.
Calculating the number of Google+ users based on random surnames each day, Allen pointed to two days last week alone when more than 2 million users signed up in a single day. But the last four days have averaged only 948,000 new users and yesterday the site added only 763,000. Yesterday’s growth of 4.47 percent was the slowest viral growth since Google opened up invites back on July 6th.This has resulted in a slow down in the count keeping the number of users to be at 18 million and not surpassing 20 million as Allen had predicted.
Had the two-million-a-day signups continued and the growth not had dipped to a low of 4.47 percent, Allen said Google+ would have reached 20 million users by last Sunday night.

The Google+ Project is in early stages and has got many people’s attentions specially social media strategists and social media experts. The Google+ team is warmed up and super excited about what’s coming next. As of now they are offering a trial product. Google+ Developers and strategists are using invite only approach so they can smooth out the rough edges as the Google+ project starts.
To stay updated as the project develops and get a heads-up when more invitations are available, join the Google+ project by clicking here.
Below are few of the features I thought I should share with my readers:
As per official Google+ website, “We’re adding some new stuff to Google to make sharing online more like sharing in real life”
Circles

We use social networking websites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter for sharring different things with different people. Sometimes we share stuff with our entire social circle and sometimes we share among selected people. Using Google+ Circles, sharing the right stuff with right people shouldn’t be a hassle. You can easily make different circles and put your friends from Saturday night in one circle, school/colleage friends in another, boss in another circle, customers in another circles – Just like real life.
Hangouts

For the first time, unplanned meet-up comes to the web with Hangouts. You can tell specific buddies or entire circles when and where you’re hanging out and your buddies can connect with you for a face-to-face-to-face chat.
Instant Upload
In traditional social networking websites, users first take photos, then upload to their profiles and then share among buddies. With instant uploads, your photoes and videos will be automatically uploaded to a private album on Google+. All you need to do is select circles who to share with.
Sparks

Write what you are into and Sparks will send you stuff it thinks you will like. So when you are free, Google+ has always something cool for you to watch, listen, read or share. Let’s say you are into Fashion, Sparks will keep you updated with latest happenings in fashion.
Huddle

When you are planning to get different people to decide for a movie, and you have to text everyone so all are on same page. Using Huddle, texting is great. Huddle turns all those different conversations into a group chat so everyone in the conversation gets on the same page at once.
