As the web evolves, expectations around security change. How to search G+ Profile and posts

Using Google Chrome, it is easy to find G+ posts and user profiles. It takes only few minutes to configure G+ profile and post search option in Google Chrome. Follow the instructions below:

1. Right click in your Google Chrome address bar
2. Click Edit Search Engines
3. OR type chrome://settings/searchEngines and hit Enter key
4. Under other search engines tab, there are 3 (three) columns (boxes).

The Trick

To configure G+ profile finder, do the following:

1. In column 1, enter text G+ Profiles
2. In column 2, enter text gprofile
3. In column 3, enter text {google:baseURL}search?q=%s&tbs=prfl:e

To configure G+ posts finder, do the following:

1. In column 1, enter text G+ Posts
2. In column 2, enter text gpost

How to use G+ profile and G+ post finder in Google Chrome

1. To find G+ posts, enter gpost then press TAB key and your search term.
2. To find G+ profile(s), enter gprofile then press TAB key and user name

Calculating the number of Google+ users based on random surnames each day, Allen pointed to two days last week alone when more than 2 million users signed up in a single day. But the last four days have averaged only 948,000 new users and yesterday the site added only 763,000. We use social networking websites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter for sharring different things with different people. Sometimes we share stuff with our entire social circle and sometimes we share among selected people. Using Google+ Circles, sharing the right stuff with right people shouldn’t be a hassle. You can easily make different circles and put your friends from Saturday night in one circle, school/colleage friends in another, boss in another circle, customers in another circles – Just like real life.

Hangouts

For the first time, unplanned meet-up comes to the web with Hangouts. You can tell specific buddies or entire circles when and where you’re hanging out and your buddies can connect with you for a face-to-face-to-face chat.

Instant Upload

In traditional social networking websites, users first take photos, then upload to their profiles and then share among buddies. With instant uploads, your photoes and videos will be automatically uploaded to a private album on Google+. All you need to do is select circles who to share with.

Until now Facebook users have been limited to instant text chat and the move to incorporate Skype takes their game to the next level. Both companies agreed the deal to allow video chat to be integrated into the site which will mean people can have ‘face-to-face’ conversations with just one click of the button.

The video calling is so great and it’s so easy, said Zuckerberg. Your least-technical friend is going to be able to get online with video chat and get connected. You’ll connect with your friends on the social network that already has all your friends.

Zuberberg also inform the audience that Facebook currently has 750 million users and with Skype’s integration with Facebook, figures of Skype’s users of 170 million would also dramatically increase.

This can also be understood as another step for Facebook to solidify it as a central platform for communication and connection across the globe. Facebook, for the recent years has been the biggest and most popular social platform amongst the masses and seems to be determined to keep up to its reputation of remaining at the top of the charts.

The deal between both parties took place late Friday as per company announcement and the three private equity firms are KKR & Co., Silver Late Partners and Technology Crossover Ventures. They agree to take on GoDaddy’s debt which is roughly half of the value of deal.

GoDaddy founder and CEO Bob Parsons predicted further growth under its new ownership. In an interview with Los Angeles Times, Bob Parson said:

Google+ is easily already the most compelling social project Google has ever done. The most appealing of the new launch can be listed as:

• Circles — online places users create to socialize and interact with different groups of people, not everyone. They’re private to anyone who isn’t designated to participate. So Jake can share openly with his Tea Party friends without alienating his Clinton-era Democratic parents.
• Hangouts — Hangout will allow users to do video or text chat with anyone willing to do so. It’s multi-person video calling.
• Mobile — Group messaging, location services and photo and video uploads and sharing.
• Sparks — Sparks will allow users to access the content in which they are interested from across the web through Google.

Many people and analysts are of the opinion that Facebook which has over 600 million members now has to face a competitor, although no such statement has been given from Google’s platform.
Alexandra Petri of the Washington Post expressed her views over Google+ as:
Google Plus isn’t the new Facebook. It’s the grown-up Facebook. Perhaps this makes it the anti-Facebook.
Deciding that Google+ will takeover Facebook is quite a pre-mature decision at present as Google has not yet drawn curtains over all features and secrets that in store for its users. Facebook on the other hand has massive number of users and applications, and surpassing them all will be hard nut to crack for Google. Only upcoming time will decide as to which of the titans captures the social media platform in future.
